Air Cadet League of Canada
OPC Aviation Committe

As was pointed out at the recent National Flying Committee meeting, the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada, in conjunction with the Air Cadet League, has a program that provides monetary assistance for Squadrons wishing to establish a model aircraft program. The fund is administered by the OPC for Squadrons across Canada who meet the application criteria. Squadrons interested in pursuing this program should contact OPC Director Don McConachie who will provide detailed information about the MAAC program. He will also co-ordinate with MAAC and the OPC Office to arrange for instructional staff and reimbursement of expenses for supplies to a mazimum of $300.00. We are also exploring the feasibility of a national Air Cadet postal contest for model aircraft.

MACC will also consider applications from cadets for bursaries of $500.00 for the purpose of furthering education. Cadets must be members of MAAC to be eligible. (Please also note that MAAC have reduced the regular membership fee from $44.50 to $16.50 for Air Cadets.)

We strongly encourage eligible Squadrons to take advantage of these programs. For details about membership, bursaries or general information please contact:
