AIR CADET LEAGUE OF
“CADET SERVICE MEDAL”
The Cadet Service Medals have been arriving at the Air Cadet League National office in shipments of five-hundred and distribution to all provinces is expected to be completed by late January to mid February 2006. The local sponsoring committees will make the medal available to current serving cadets free of charge. The medal comes in a cardboard presentation box with the undress ribbon beneath the black velvet underlay. A formal application and policy is now available on the website's mainpage. Former cadets may purchase the medal including the undress ribbon through the National office for twenty-five dollars ($25.00) + applicable taxes. Please remit payment in the amount of $28.75 for orders from NS, NB, NL, ON, and $26.75 for all other provinces and territories.
Executive Director Jean Mignault stated that “The medals are being shipped out to the provincial committees and / or provincial chairs who will then in turn fulfill the needs of their squadrons.”
The miniature medal will be available to current and former cadets through the National Office for fifteen dollars ($15.00) + applicable taxes. Please remit payment in the amount of $17.25 for orders from NS, NB, NL, ON, and $16.05 for all other provinces and territories.
The Cadet Service Medal is gold in colour and bears the RCAC crest in either French or English. The ribbon for the medal is an attractive combination of blue and yellow and features an inscription box on the flip side. Included with the medal is a short undress ribbon for the cadet’s shirt as well as the presentation box.
